Villa History
When the McCormack family built the Villa, they didn't know that they were in fact building a mansion that would become one of the finest Bed and Breakfast's in the country. Unlike the typical home of the era, they actually had five bathrooms constructed. Each room therefore has a large en suite bathroom with a large tub and separate large shower. Perhaps because of their extended family from across the USA and Ireland who came to visit them, they added good sized closets for storage and made each bedroom larger than standard. The walls of the house are a foot thick keeping it quiet inside and none of the rooms sits atop another, eliminating that pesky sound of creaky floors from the room above so prevalent in many homes of the era. Later, a Carriage House and sky bridge connecting it to the main floor was built. Grand in scale, but furnished to retain intimacy and warmth, each has special touches, among them:

• romantic gas fireplaces
• ornate ceiling fans
• soaking or spa tub
• private verandahs
• king or queen beds
