Ruth

.
Ruth has a wonderful sense of humor and cares for each of our guests like they were part of her own family...and her cooking is terrific!:
Ruth came to us from Cuenca, Ecuador where she owned a business and taught math at a private school.

We were looking for someone who, like us, could and would do "everything" at our B&B, from taking reservations to cleaning.  she has done all of that, and more. She now runs The Villa when we go away--and our guests rave about how well she treats them.

Ruth's business was a company that prepared and sold rolled deboned smoked chickens. We have been fortunate enough to try them--and they are great! Her goal here is to be able to teach again, but she has several requirements to meet first.

Ruth loves dancing, dancing and dancing--not necessarily in that order. She has introduced us to a number of Latin  musicians and singers--and when there is no one around, the music from our CD player can really get us all going.

Ruth's daughter, Veronica came to the US about two years ago and studied at our local high school for a year and a half. We suspect she took the hearts of half the young men in Tacoma back to Ecuador with her. She is smart, beautiful and a charmer--we called her Empress Veronica. You will probably hear at least one "Veronica tale" while staying with us.

Ruth's son, Juan, is 16 and has not yet been able to visit here--we hope he can come soon. He loves sports (and I understand he is a good worker--so I am saving some garden chores...)

Besides dancing, Ruth enjoys the wonders of our countryside--though she finds little time to do much with the constant visits of family and friends from Ecuador or other parts of the USA. We have enjoyed meeting them all, especially her Mom who helped at The Villa this year. She is a wonderful seamstress and did the slipcovers for two of our ottomans.
