Thinking about moving to the
Northwest? Staying at The Villa may offer you some surprising "extras". We are located in the heart of the Stadium District, a National Historic District, in what is referred to as North Tacoma. It is a marvelous neighborhood of homes primarily built in the late 19th and early 20th century. Tacoma/Pierce County however, has a wide variety of housing areas/districts--and probably has something that every person would love to call "home". Because of our previous careers and our love of travel, we are quite familiar with most of the cities, towns and rural areas within 50 miles of Seattle. We know commuter routes and times, where shopping and dining areas are. Frankly, since our children are grown, school systems are pretty unfamiliar for us. We enjoy sharing our knowledge and love of the Puget Sound Region with our guests. We try to be unbiased. We lived most of our lives in California and have traveled a good chunk of the USA--so many times we can also share some insights on what changes you will experience by moving here--both the good and the bad. With all of the tension you are experiencing, it is pleasant to have some new friends you can discuss your concerns with. We have helped many of our guests in locating a professional realtor or contractor --and even helped a bit on some employment searches. Rather than get tired of restaurant eating for three meals a day, you can start the day right with a great breakfast here then let us help you discover the fun restaurants or take-out places in the area. You can always bring food back here and eat in your room or one of our common areas. Our beds are wonderfully comfortable--and it is so peaceful that our guests constantly tell us they get a great night's rest here. The Villa is spotless and for long term visitors we can even help with laundry, although there are a number of convenient laundromats in the area. We have helped guests find apartments, locate furniture and generally "settle in". We are proud to say a number of our guests who have relocated here are some of our best friends. For those interested in doing some house hunting in the area, we highly recommend Mary Tobacco at Sterling Realty. She found The Villa for us and has helped numerous guests of our find the home of their dreams-you can find her at: http://www.MaryTobacco.com.
