Weddings are really special at The Villa--we only allow a few each year.:		 Each year we field dozens of requests to do a variety of special functions here.  The mansion was built to entertain and we have created even more possibilities with the addition of the Salon and our wonderful outdoor garden "rooms". The Villa is truly "one of a kind" and everyone who visits comments on not only the beauty of the original architecture, but the enchanting way The Villa has been decorated. Of special note is how bright it is inside, due both to the vibrant colors and huge Palladian windows.

Our primary reason for being in business is to run a Bed and Breakfast. For this reason all functions with more than 15-20 people attending require rental of the entire Villa, including all 6 guest rooms. Our reason is that we try very hard not to mislead our guests: if you were coming here for a romantic getaway, how would you feel when there was a reception for 80 people taking up the main floor?

Because of care in planning, every event we have done here has been a major success. The mansion is so beautiful that it requires little or no decorating. Christmas season is especially beautiful, with every room decorated.

For very small events, we try to keep your costs minimal. Use of the Salon for a retreat or training session by a charity or governmental institution is normally free. Businesses may be charged up to $200 facility fee per day--or use the room for free by renting guest accommodations..

For events of over twenty people (maximum 50 for a wedding and 80 for a reception or party), when the entire mansion is rented, the charge is roughly $2,500 per day--and sometimes there is a 2 day minimum. This fee also entitles you to six guestrooms (12 people) per night and full breakfast for 12 people.

We can provide breakfast., snacks and beverages for events. Lunches and dinners must be catered. We can work with your caterer or provide you a list of excellent local caterers who have been recommended by our guests.

You should also be aware that we do not allow any smoking in the mansion or on the grounds. We highly discourage children under 12.  We have limited space (the Salon) for dancing. Since we are in a quiet residential neighborhood, loud music or noise of any sort is not appropriate after 9:30 PM.

Reception buffets are beautifully presented in the Dining Room. With all of our decor and the windows framing lovely outdoor views, seldom is any additional decorating needed.


 The salon is perfect for small meetings (2-14) or showers (10-20). It seats 14 comfortably for a lunch or dinner. It can be set up conference style with a table, or casually, with just chairs and loveseat.
